MyDawa

Founded in 2017, MyDawa enables consumers to conveniently purchase authentic high-quality medicines, health and wellness products through partnerships with healthcare practitioners and suppliers. It is the largest e-pharmacy in East Africa, focused on pharmaceutical, OTC, and personal care products.

In 2023 through this investment, MyDawa acquired Uganda’s largest pharmacy chain, and launched Uganda’s first integrated online pharmacy and telemedicine platform in 2024.

MyDawa’s inclusion in the i3 grant and accelerator program in April 2025 highlights its role in expanding healthcare access. The program is designed to help African healthcare companies build the relationships needed to scale their impact.

• Geographic footprint expansion: building on the acquisition of Guardian Health and Uganda’s largest telemedicine provider, Rocket Health, the company has launched into new markets.
• Service Diversification: broadening MyDawa’s services from an e-pharmacy to include online and in-person consultations, laboratory services and its own-branded products.​
